This original, rhyming children's Christmas story is the imagination of the author, Carolyn Cousins.  At the beginning of the story, seven little children express their concern to a news reporter about Santa Claus replacing his reindeer with an airplane for his journey on Christmas Eve. The reporter immediately flies to the North Pole to interview the reindeer and Santa.  His attempts to change Santa's mind fails and he has to deliver the bad news to his hopeful reindeer.  After reassuring the reindeer that Santa would be more comfortable in his airplane, the reindeer agree and watch Santa fly away in his new jet. The airplane gets lost in a snowstorm requiring the reindeer to search for it.  The reindeer rescue Santa and his crew then continue the old tradition of flying Santa in his sled to complete the deliveries saving Christmas for all the children.
